Finally finished working my way through learning OpenAL. Had a bit more trouble with it than I had expected, but I think I know it well enough to get some work done.
Most of the tutorials I found for OpenAL were outdated and usually expected the user to know OpenGL beforehand. Eternal Sage (who has already fought his way through the learning OpenAL) is hoping we can put out a set of our own tutorials once we get a little farther along, focusing more on OpenAL for the beginner programmer without previous OpenGL experience.
Now I’m about to jump back into my OpenGL books for a week or so and see if I can pick up a few more tricks to speed up graphics processing and do things a little more efficiently.
Hopefully, after that we can put our noses to the grindstone and start churning out the revised Flatware code.
Stay tuned,
